Mugshot | Richard Grayson

The idea here was to draw Dick Grayson as 'Robin' based on the DCU's live action TV series 'Titans'. The character is portrayed by Brenton Thwaites in the show and I was definitely inspired by his version of the character. I wanted to pay tribute to Robin's first comic book appearance through the black board in the mugshot. The numbers "DC381940" stand for "Detective Comics #38" published in 1940 when Robin was first introduced. His date of birth "4.4.1984" stands for "Tales of the Teen Titans #44" released in 1984 when Grayson retired as Robin and became the superhero Nightwing.
